# Audit Log Volume block

> Audit log event volume chart with stacked outcome pills, drag range selection and denial avatars

Audit log event volume over 1h to 30d as stacked success, denied and failed pills, with category and actor filters, auto-refresh and CSV or JSON export. A readout and breakdown strip follow the hovered bar or dragged range. ReUI Frame.

- Type: Pro block
- Category: [Bar Chart](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart.md)
- Page: https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-35
- MCP: `get_block("chart-35")`
- Built with: Avatar, Badge, Button, Button Group, Chart, Dropdown Menu, Frame, Spinner, Toggle Group, Tooltip
- Installs with a ReUI Pro or Ultimate license; setup: https://web.dev.reui.io/docs/license-setup

## Best for

Audit events in 5 minute to daily buckets, where a dragged span totals its outcomes and top actor and faces mark unreviewed denials

## Agent notes

- Replace `EVENTS` (anchors plus 6,000 rows, each with a `category`) and `ACTORS`, and point `refresh` at your audit API; windows count back from `REFERENCE_DATE`
- A committed `selection` scopes the plot, readout, `StatStrip` and every export, but nothing outside `Chart` reads it; lift it to filter your list
- `DenialLane` faces mark denied events with no `reviewedBy`, so set that field once a denial is reviewed or it stays flagged

## When not to use

- Job runner time per hour split by outcome, with a timeout burn callout: use [Cron Runner Load](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-32.md) (`get_block("chart-32")`)
- The individual access entries grouped by day, each expanding to its details: use [Access Audit Log](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/solutions/users/solution-users-6.md) (`get_block("solution-users-6")`)

## About Bar Chart blocks

### When to use

- Amounts compared across years, weeks, categories or regions as prisms, patterned bars, pills or lanes
- Activity over time stacked by outcome, such as job runs, audit events, firewall requests or data syncs
- Run durations and error budgets read against a timeout, a warning line or a paging threshold

### When not to use

- A share of a whole where the slices read better around a ring: use the [Pie Chart blocks](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/pie-chart.md)
- A capacity or allocation split into colored segments on one meter, with no axis: use the [Stats blocks](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/application/stats.md)
- Rows of jobs or deploys, each with its own run history strip: use the [Status Tracker blocks](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/status-tracker.md)

### Agent notes

- `Chart` renders with no props and fetches nothing, so every bar, lane and limit is seeded from constants in the block folder

Every ReUI item has a twin like this one; the index is https://web.dev.reui.io/llms.txt. Agents with the ReUI MCP (https://web.dev.reui.io/docs/mcp) get the same guidance from the getters named above.
