# Cron Run Durations block

> Cron job run duration bars with status tones, a timeout line and a Run now toolbar

A cron job's last 20 runs as Recharts bars split into queue, execute and teardown over a p50 to p95 band with outliers and deploys, in a pickable chart color. A bar opens its log tail and Retry in a shadcn Sheet. ReUI Frame, ColorPicker, CodeBlock.

- Type: Pro block
- Category: [Bar Chart](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart.md)

- MCP: `get_block("chart-33")`
- Built with: Alert Dialog, Badge, Button, Button Group, Chart, Code Block, Color Picker, Dropdown Menu, Frame, Icon Tile, Sheet, Spinner, Tooltip
- Installs with a ReUI Pro or Ultimate license; setup: https://web.dev.reui.io/docs/license-setup

## Best for

One job's last 20 runs as status tinted bars under a timeout line, where Run now slides in a bar and a picker recolors the healthy runs

## Agent notes

- Replace `JOB` and `RELEASES` in data.tsx; `buildRuns` fakes runs from 118 hourly slots, some reshaped by `EVENTS`, and `logTailOf` invents each log tail
- `startRun` parses the newest RUN-58418 style id and adds a fake run that `MANUAL_RUN` settles after `finishMs`, so Run now and Retry need your scheduler
- `setPausedWithToast`, `refresh` and the picked `accent` only change local state; wire them to your scheduler, your runs API and user settings

## When not to use

- A job drawer with a cron field breakdown, the next 5 runs and a settings form: use [Cron Job Detail](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/application/sheet/sheet-12.md) (`get_block("sheet-12")`)
- Many jobs at once, each row with its own strip of recent runs and a fleet summary: use [Cron Run History](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/status-tracker/chart-34.md) (`get_block("chart-34")`)

## About Bar Chart blocks

### When to use

- Amounts compared across years, weeks, categories or regions as prisms, patterned bars, pills or lanes
- Activity over time stacked by outcome, such as job runs, audit events, firewall requests or data syncs
- Run durations and error budgets read against a timeout, a warning line or a paging threshold

### When not to use

- A share of a whole where the slices read better around a ring: use the [Pie Chart blocks](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/pie-chart.md)
- A capacity or allocation split into colored segments on one meter, with no axis: use the [Stats blocks](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/application/stats.md)
- Rows of jobs or deploys, each with its own run history strip: use the [Status Tracker blocks](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/status-tracker.md)

### Agent notes

- `Chart` renders with no props and fetches nothing, so every bar, lane and limit is seeded from constants in the block folder

Every ReUI item has a twin like this one; the index is https://web.dev.reui.io/llms.txt. Agents with the ReUI MCP (https://web.dev.reui.io/docs/mcp) get the same guidance from the getters named above.
