# Shadcn Bar Chart blocks

> Bar and column charts, stacked hourly outcomes, 3D prisms, diverging lanes and lollipop stems for comparing values.

- Type: Pro blocks (Charts)
- Page: https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart
- Blocks: 12
- Installs with a ReUI Pro or Ultimate license; setup: https://web.dev.reui.io/docs/license-setup

## When to use

- Amounts compared across years, weeks, categories or regions as prisms, patterned bars, pills or lanes
- Activity over time stacked by outcome, such as job runs, audit events, firewall requests or data syncs
- Run durations and error budgets read against a timeout, a warning line or a paging threshold

## When not to use

- A share of a whole where the slices read better around a ring: use the [Pie Chart blocks](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/pie-chart.md)
- A capacity or allocation split into colored segments on one meter, with no axis: use the [Stats blocks](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/application/stats.md)
- Rows of jobs or deploys, each with its own run history strip: use the [Status Tracker blocks](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/status-tracker.md)

## Agent notes

- `Chart` renders with no props and fetches nothing, so every bar, lane and limit is seeded from constants in the block folder

## Third-party libraries

- Sonner v2: [API reference](https://sonner.emilkowal.ski/toast), [docs](https://sonner.emilkowal.ski/getting-started), used by 12 of 12 blocks
- Recharts v3: [API reference](https://recharts.github.io/en-US/api/), [docs](https://recharts.github.io/en-US/guide/getting-started/), used by 10 of 12 blocks
- Motion v12: [API reference](https://motion.dev/docs/react-motion-component), [docs](https://motion.dev/docs/react), used by 4 of 12 blocks (the docs follow the latest Motion, with no React API break since v12)
- Shiki v4: [API reference](https://shiki.style/guide/install), [docs](https://shiki.style/guide/), used by 1 of 12 blocks

## Blocks

- [Yearly Fund Inflows](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-9.md): Yearly capital inflows chart with 3D prisms stacked by fund and a hatched run-rate estimate. Best for several years of fund inflows where the open year is paced to a full year and its growth reads off that pace, by fund or as one total.
- [Training Volume](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-10.md): Weekly training volume bar chart with an accent week and last block ghost bars or plan finish tapes. Best for running weeks set against the last block or the plan, where a week that beats plan snaps its tape and a hovered week marches its fill.
- [Inventory Velocity](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-29.md): Inventory velocity bar chart with pill bars toned by stock health, a warehouse filter and sorting. Best for overstock spotting across a catalog, where categories past 45 days of supply read as slow and the hover readout ranks each by pace.
- [Transit vs Target](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-30.md): Diverging road and rail transit bar chart by region, ahead of or behind target on a live feed. Best for lane gaps to a delivery target where regions rerank on a Median or P90 switch and 2 lanes report fresh readings every few seconds.
- [Cron Runner Load](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-32.md): Hourly runner time stacked bar chart with outcome toggles and a timeout burn callout. Best for a whole job fleet's hourly load, narrowed to one job through a search picker, with a docked card naming each hour's slowest run.
- [Cron Run Durations](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-33.md): Cron job run duration bars with status tones, a timeout line and a Run now toolbar. Best for one job's last 20 runs as status tinted bars under a timeout line, where Run now slides in a bar and a picker recolors the healthy runs.
- [Audit Log Volume](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-35.md): Audit log event volume chart with stacked outcome pills, drag range selection and denial avatars. Best for audit events in 5 minute to daily buckets, where a dragged span totals its outcomes and top actor and faces mark unreviewed denials.
- [Firewall Traffic](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-40.md): Hourly firewall traffic pill grid with hour tooltips, a range and view toolbar and incident markers. Best for an hourly firewall pill grid where hover shows each hour's breakdown, a click pins it, and a toolbar sets range, view and layers.
- [Error Budget Burn](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-42.md): Error budget burn-down with daily lollipop stems, an SLO picker and a budget ribbon. Best for one SLO's error budget burn down as daily lollipops below 0% once overspent, a forecast tail, drag to sum spend and an SLO Select.
- [SLO Burn Rate](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-43.md): SLO burn rate panel with hourly log scale lollipops, window tracks, alert rules and mute. Best for one SLO's burn rate on log scales: 5 window tracks from 5m to 3d, hourly lollipops with a 24h or 72h toggle and Mute behind a confirm.
- [Data Sync Activity](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-45.md): Hourly data sync activity chart for all connections with a Runs or Rows toggle and a source filter. Best for activity pooled across many connections, filtered by source type, where an hour's tooltip names the failing and slow connections.
- [Sync Run History](https://web.dev.reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart/chart-47.md): Connection sync history card with hourly outcome columns and a recent runs list. Best for one connection's last 24 hours against the day before, with a freshness SLO, a compare menu and run rows that retry or download a log.

Every ReUI item has a twin like this one; the index is https://web.dev.reui.io/llms.txt. Agents with the ReUI MCP (https://web.dev.reui.io/docs/mcp) get the same guidance from the getters named above.
